Sadly, today is my last day here at mac and murphy. And, rather than spending my last moments with my head in my books and studying for finals, I have chosen to spend my days wandering throughout the streets of Charleston, acting like a tourist, and enjoying every last second of every day. This past week I took a couple of study breaks and went to my favorite local spots while enjoying the company of friends and of course Ami and Liz. Thursday, we decided to take a little getaway and head to the beach at Sullivans Island and grab a good bite to one of our local faves Poes Tavern.
We had a fabulous night. I couldn’t have asked for a better farewell dinner and great night of celebrating graduation! We laughed so hard we cried and, like always, the girls left me with the best bits of advice before starting my adventures at my new job in Dallas.
The past few days have been filled with both tears of joy and sadness. But, as I sit here, writing amidst the beautifully colored paper, amazing stationery, and a delicious smelling fig + vanilla candle I realize that the biggest reward has been meeting inspirational and hardworking women like Liz and Ami. They have shown me so much and I have grown so much from this experience at mac and murphy.
SO, I WANNA END THIS POST WITH ONE LAST THANK YOU!!!
OH! And here’s a little video I thought you readers might like about the power of friendship.
Till next time,
Andy aka ‘the shop girl.’
